The Worcester Men of Song is a Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, and our Chapter was founded in 1949. We have been performing throughout the Worcester County area continuously for the past sixty years.

The chorus and quartets visit area communities presenting the four-part, close harmony “a capella” style of singing called barbershop, which is a singing style indigenous to the U.S. tracing its roots back to the early 1800’s ... most probably originating in barbershops. (Honestly!)

The Men of Song chorus also travels the “Northeastern District” twice a year competing with other choruses from throughout New England, northern New York and Canadian maritime province area.

It has often been said that “the Men of Song open the Worcester area Christmas Season each year with their Annual Show at Mechanics Hall.”  The show is held every year on the Saturday evening before Thanksgiving at Mechanics Hall.

Just about any guy who has a bit of singing talent can enjoy barbershopping. If you're such a guy and you'd like to take a closer look, you are cordially invited to do so. We meet every Wednesday evening at 7:30 PM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street, Worcester. Every rehearsal is an “open rehearsal”, which means that anyone can stop in, say “hello”, meet some of the guys, just observe, or even take a stab at singing, if you’d like.
