Hello All Chorus Members,
 
Last Wednesday Brian O'Leary filled in for Mark, and it appeared illness kept some other chorus members home on this winter evening.  The variety of mixing up who we were standing next to, we reviewed some of our repertoire, which went over well with the chorus.  We also were given the opportunity to make a qualification tape of "Oh How We Roared in the Twenties", which will be offered at every chapter meeting through our special rehearsal on March 12.   However, due to logistics from NED, I need to know if you are planning on competing by March 9th, for the group registration.  You can still register after March 9th by doing it individually on line for a slight additional cost.  The group registration is $30.00 per chorus member, while the individual on line registration is $31.74, which is valid through March 16th. 
 
March is a busy month for us, with the extra rehearsal on March 12, the St. Patrick's day parade on March 13, and our competition in East Greenwich, R.I. on March 19th.  Sign up sheets are available for both the parade  and the competition will be available next Wednesday night.  See Dan Donovan for details on St. Patrick's day parade, and me for contest details, which are also online at www.nedistrict.org.
 
 
Brian presented the 2011 repertoire, with hard copies available at this meeting and next week also.  I would ask that if you are missing any of the music on this publication, please turn a copy of the repertoire into me, with your name on it and which songs you are missing.  Some music may have to be ordered, while a few other songs are free downloads from BHS, to fill in the missing songs.  Brian also announced there would be NO MUSIC COMMITTEE  on March 2nd.
 
Again, the music committee asks that your bring your own cassette recorder and tape to our meetings in order to make a qualification tape.  The chapter has obtained a few cassette recorders with tapes which can be loaned out in case you don't own one or it is broken.  The qualification procedure was emailed out to all chorus members before last weeks chapter meeting.  That about covers it for this meeting.
